Our Story Argo was founded by two women passionate about providing a sweatshop-free source of clothing for both women and men without compromising any sense of style. From the beginning, it was important for Argo to show that making the decision to buy fair trade apparel does not mean wearing a burlap sack. We also put an emphasis on the fact that we carry fashionable men’s clothing because we have search far and wide and know it is difficult to find other places. The concept and reality of Argo were built from the ground up. Each aspect of the business was researched, developed, and created by one of the two founders, from the promotional photography to the webstore. To this day, all parts of Argo remain internal to the company and there are now more key players on the Argo team. Along with selling socially and environmentally sustainable clothing and accessories, Argo also carries handmade artist goods including all of the jewelry, paintings, some purses and other accessories. Each individual item has a story and a person behind it making it completely unique. If you ever have any questions about a handmade item, please contact us.
